Nathan's and Abby's cousin, John Lee, hosted a New Year's Eve party tonight. We drove up to Kaysville and joined John Lee, Erin, Keoni, Lily, and Maya. Also there were Erin's parents and her two sisters; John, Tammy and Bradley; and Anthony and Brittany. Some other friends of the Rorings stopped by, too. It was a full house!
Erin prepared an extremely delicious fondue spread. She made different fondues with chicken broth, beef broth, and cheese. We dipped and fondued chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, vegetables, and French bread. Later on, for dessert, she also made chocolate and caramel fondues. We dipped angel food cake, fruit, and cookies into the chocolate. Who knew that Erin is such a fantastic cook? She really is! Thanks, Erin!
We sat in the family room and talked smart.

Nathan and Kate (see her feet?)
Nathan and Abby played a lot with their cousins - the younger ones (Keoni, Lily, and Maya) and also the older ones (Anthony, Brittany, John Lee, and Brad). Soon the younger kids got tired and went to bed. Look how cute!
After the little ones were asleep, we broke out the board games. We indulged our addiction (because the entire Roring family is addicted, too) and played a double game of Dominion.
Oh, but wait... first Abby fed Maya. Abby is such a natural mom! She knows how to feed a baby just right. She has been taught well by having a little sister in her house in North Carolina!
Okay, back to Dominion. Dad, Nathan, Brad, and John Lee played one game.
Tammy, Kate, Anthony, and the Abby/Maya team played the other game.
We liked this action shot of Nathan, Abby, and Maya. Nathan is seriously studying his cards and look how Abby is instructing Maya in the ways of Dominion!
Abby and Maya made a really cute team!
Shortly after this, we rang in 2010. We lit fireworks in the snowy backyard and then ate Erin's delicious chocolate and caramel fondues.
Happy New Year, everybody!
