Nathan asked if he could earn some money around the house, too. The lawn has been a little neglected since Kate's accident so it was practically a meadow! Nathan offered to mow it so Dad agreed to supervise.
Nathan wore sunglasses for eye protection and chose his California cowboy hat to shade himself from the sun. To finish off the outfit, he wore Dad's lawn shoes so he wouldn't ruin his nice new shoes. We loved it!
Dad supervised and pulled some nasty weeds. Since we live next to a field, it is a constant battle to keep the weeds from growing in the yard.

These poor pups were banned from the yard during the mowing. They were absolutely dying to come out and "help"! They still drying from their baths and we didn't want them to get dirty immediately. Poor, neglected puppies!

Sounds like a fun time. I can't wait until Olivia and Caroline are old enough to start helping with our lawn.
Actually I don't mind it just because our lawn is so small.

Kate, we heard about your accident and hope you are starting to feel a little better. Rikk can sympatize with you on having your mouth wired shut...it's not fun at all. We are keeping you in our prayers and hope for a speedy and totally healthy recovery.
